Heard learned counsel for the petitioner, learned Government Pleader for Services for respondents 1 and 3 and learned standing counsel for the Telangana State Level Police Recruitment Board for respondent No.2.

This writ petition is filed challenging the proceedings of the Chairman, Telangana State Level Police Recruitment Board, dated 02.12.2019, disqualifying the petitioner for appointment on the ground of suppression of his involvement in more than one crime, in the application form or in the attestation form filed by him.

When the matter is taken up, learned standing counsel for the 2nd respondent produced G.O.Ms.No.4, Home (General) Department, dated 28.01.2020, whereunder the Government constituted a Screening Committee to look into the cases arising out of disqualification, on the grounds of suppression of facts and involvement in criminal cases, in the attestation form, headed by the Principal Secretary to Government, Home Department, and other Senior Level Officers. He would submit that since a Committee is constituted, the Committee would look into all the issues of involvement in criminal cases and suppression of facts. 4.
Having regard to the same, the Writ Petition is disposed of granting liberty to the petitioner to work out his remedies as available in law, if the Committee constituted by the Government also does not overrule the decision made by the Police Recruitment
- 3 - Board and his claim for employment is not accepted. It is needless to observe that once an adverse decision is taken by the Committee, the same shall be communicated to the petitioner to work out his remedies. There shall be no order as to costs.
