ORDER

This petition is filed under Section 438 of the Code of Criminal Procedure, 1973, seeking bail to the petitioner/accused in the event of his arrest in connection with Crime No.80 of 2022 of A.P.T.S. Police Station, Mahabubnagar District, registered for the offence punishable under Section 135(1)(b) of Electricity Act, 2003. 2.

The case of prosecution is that on 04.01.2022, while the Electricity Authorities were conducting routine inspection, they found that the accused was indulging in theft of energy dishonestly for domestic purpose causing loss to the tune of Rs.6,211/- to the Department.

Learned Counsel for the petitioner Mr.G. Rajeshwar Rao, submits that the petitioner has never indulged in the theft of energy, to show his bona fides, he has paid the amount of Rs.6,211/- on 09.02.2022 and he also filed the receipt by way of memo before this Court and hence, his case may be considered for grant of pre-arrest bail. 4.

Taking into consideration the fact that the amount of Rs.6,211/- has already been paid by the petitioner vide receipt No.10975 dated 09-02-2022, this Court deems it appropriate to grant pre-arrest bail to the petitioner/accused.

Accordingly, this Criminal Petition is allowed. Petitioner/accused shall surrender before the Station House Officer, A.P.T.S. Police Station, Mahabubnagar District, in connection with Crime No.80 of 2022

within one week from today and on such surrender and executing personal bond for Rs.20,000/- (Rupees twenty thousand only) with two sureties for a like sum each to the satisfaction of the said Station House Officer, he shall be released on bail. It is made clear that no further extension of time will be granted.
