THE HON'BLE SRI JUSTICE RAJA ELANGO Criminal Petition No.5155 of 2016 ORDER:

This Criminal Petition is filed under Section 482 Cr.P.C. seeking to quash proceedings initiated against the petitioners/A-1 to 4 in Crime No.217 of 2016 of Women Police Station, DD, CCS, Hyderabad, registered for the offences punishable under Sections 498 A, 406, 420, 344, 120 B read with Section 34 IPC and Sections 3, 4 and 6 of Dowry Prohibition Act.

Heard and perused the material available on record. Heard the learned counsel for the petitioners/A-2 to A-5 and the learned Public Prosecutor and perused the material on record. Admittedly, a complaint was lodged by the second respondent/de facto complainant against the petitioners wherein specific allegations are made against them, the truth or otherwise of which can be ascertained only after due investigation into the crime by the investigating agency and the same cannot be determined at the investigation stage.

Having regard to the facts and circumstances of the case and also in view of the fact that the crime is under investigation, the petitioners/A-1 to A-4 are directed to appear before the police and execute a bond for Rs.5,000/- (Rupees five thousand only) each with one surety each for their future appearance and cooperate with the investigating agency. However, it is made clear that in the event of any charge sheet is filed, the petitioners/A-1 to A-4 may take recourse to appropriate remedies available under the law, if they aggrieved to do so.

Accordingly, the Criminal Petition is disposed of.

Consequently, miscellaneous petitions, if any, pending, shall stand closed.
