Kolanukonda Sireesha v. The State Of Andhra Pradesh
THE HON'BLE SRI JUSTICE CHALLA KODANDA RAM WRIT PETITION No.2887 of 2018 ORDER:
In the writ affidavit, the petitioners had asserted that they had brought to the notice of the authorities with respect to the construction of public toilets on Gudipalli canal stating that originally, Gudipalli canal was an irrigation canal and later, it had become a drainage channel, but, as can be seen from the material placed on record, for the first time, before this Court, the petitioners are raising objections with regard to it. It is the specific contention of the petitioners that if public toilets are constructed on the canal, it would result in stagnation of water as the drainage gets blocked which causes inconvenience to the householders on account of overflowing of drainage water.
In those circumstances, the Writ Petition is disposed of granting liberty to the petitioners to submit a representation/complaint to the authority concerned for taking necessary action. Thereafter, the second respondent - District Collector, Nellore, shall monitor and solve the problem that is being espoused by the petitioners.
CKR, J W.P.No.2887 of 2018 Miscellaneous Petitions, if any pending shall stand closed. There shall be no order as to costs.
