This writ petition is filed seeking Writ of Mandamus, declaring the action of the Respondents in not paying the correct increments of Rs.204-35 ps. from 1.7.1996 to the petitioners, is arbitrary and illegal. 2.

Heard Sri Ch.Venkat Raman, learned counsel for the petitioners and Sri J.Srinivasa Rao, learned Standing Counsel for Singareni Collieries Company Ltd.

It has been contended by the petitioners that they are working as E.P. Operators with the Respondent Corporation The grievance of the petitioners is that the Respondents have not paid the correct increments of Rs.204-35 ps. from 1.7.1996. In this regard, the petitioners have submitted representations dated 15.12.2017 to the 2nd respondent, requesting to pay the increments as per their entitlement. According to the learned counsel for the petitioners, the Respondents neither considered the said representations nor granted correct increments. The learned counsel further submits that the Respondents may be directed to consider the representations of the petitioners dated 15.12.2017, in accordance with law. The learned Standing Counsel appearing for Respondent Corporation submits that appropriate orders will be passed on the representations submitted by the petitioners, as per law.

This Court, having considered the rival submissions made by the learned counsel for the respective parties, is of the considered view that this writ petition can be disposed of directing the respondents to consider the representations dated 15.12.2017 submitted by the petitioners and pass

appropriate orders, in accordance with law, within a period of six (6) weeks from the date of receipt of a copy of this order. 7.
