This Writ Petition is filed for a Mandamus to declare the inaction of respondent No.2, in considering the recommendations made by respondent No.2 vide letter No.AEE(M)/ Drought/2015, dated 08-10-2015, for grant of administrative sanction for transportation of drinking water to 60 numbers of habitations in Kurnool District and hiring of private sources for this purpose, as illegal and arbitrary.

Respondent No.2 filed a counter-affidavit, wherein he has inter alia stated that as he is not concerned with the subject, he has forwarded the proposals of respondent No.2 to the Principal Secretary, Panchayat Raj and RWS Department.

The learned Assistant Government Pleader for Panchayat Raj and RWS Department placed before the Court Memo No.17470/RWS-I/A1/2015, dated 21-01-2016, issued by the Principal Secretary of Panchayat Raj and RWS Department, directing respondent No.2 to make necessary payments under SDRF funds for the bills raised for transportation of water towards 60 habitations during 2013-14 and 2014-15 for an amount of

Rs.85,51,750/-.

In view of the above Memo, the grievance of the petitioners stood redressed and the Writ Petition is, accordingly, disposed of as infructuous.
