The learned counsel appearing for the petitioner submits that the subject matter of the writ petition has become infructuous in as much as the writ was filed when the petitioner was in employment and his salary was attached. It is submitted that during the pendency of the writ petition, the petitioner retired from service and hence, the attachment order, which was stayed by the interim order of this Court, is no more in force.

Hence, the writ petition is dismissed as infructuous. As a sequel, the miscellaneous applications pending, if any, shall stand closed. There shall be no order as to costs.
