THE HON'BLE SRI JUSTICE C. PRAVEEN KUMAR WRIT PETITION No. 20792 of 2012 ORDER:- Heard learned counsel for the petitioner, learned Government Pleader for Revenue appearing for respondents 1 to 3 and learned counsel for respondents 4 to 6. With the consent of the parties, the writ petition is heard and disposed of at the admission stage itself.

The present writ petition came to be filed seeking issuance of writ of mandamus declaring the action of respondents 2 and 3 in not issuing proceedings allotting land to an extent of Ac.0.26 1⁄4 cents in Survey Nos.850 and 851 and also an extent of Ac.0.18 3⁄4 cents in survey Nos.852/1 and 852/2 situated at Purini Village, Allur Mandal, Nellore District, in favour of the petitioner Society, as per the sketch furnished by the Executive Engineer, R.W.S. Division, Nellore, for providing drinking water to the residents of Purini Village and its hamlets, as illegal and arbitrary.

Though various grounds are raised in the writ petition, the learned counsel for the petitioner restricts his prayer seeking a direction to the 3rd respondent to dispose of the representation dated 08.11.2011 made by the petitioner, at the earliest, for which the learned Government Pleader for revenue did not object, provided the same is still pending consideration. Having regard to the circumstances stated above and without going into the merits of the case, the Writ Petition is

disposed of, directing the 3rd respondent to pass orders on the representation dated 08.11.2011 made by the petitioner seeking allotment and delivery of vacant possession of land to an extent of Ac.0.18 3⁄4 cents in survey Nos.852/1 and 852/2 situated at Purini Village, Allur Mandal, Nellore District, in its favour, if the same is still pending consideration, in accordance with law, within a period of twelve (12) weeks from the date of receipt of a copy of the order. There shall be no order as to costs. Consequently, miscellaneous petitions, if any, pending in the writ petition shall stand dismissed.
