THE HON'BLE SRI JUSTICE CHALLA KODANDA RAM WRIT PETITION No.7344 of 2017 ORDER:
Aggrieved by the action of the 2nd respondent Kandukur Municipality in sending its officials proposing to close the shop room in possession and occupation of the petitioner in Survey No.566 of Kandukur Town, pursuant to the demand notice dated 02.11.2013 for the alleged non-payment of municipal tax with interest, the present Writ Petition is filed. Heard learned counsel for the petitioner.
Sri Nimmagadda Venkateswarlu, learned Standing Counsel for the 2nd respondent Municipality submits that against the demand notice, under Rule of the Andhra Pradesh Municipalities Taxation and Finance Rules, Revision lies to the Commissioner.
In view of the alternative remedy of Revision, this Writ petition is disposed of giving liberty to the petitioner to approach the Commissioner, who shall deal with his grievance, in accordance with law. No costs.
Consequently, the miscellaneous Applications, if any shall also stand disposed of.
