Grievance of petitioner in the Writ Petition is, even though complaint is filed alleging playing fraud by the persons named in the complaint and though complaint is registered on 15.09.2018 as Crime No.543 of 2018 in Chaitanyapuri Police Station, so far there is no progress in the investigation.

Learned Government Pleader, on instructions, submits that Notice was issued to the petitioner under Section 91/160 Cr.P.C., on 09.10.2018 to furnish relevant documentary evidence. Petitioner accordingly furnished documentary evidence. Thereafter, Notice was issued under Section 91/160 of Cr.P.C., on 30.11.2018 to the accused to produce documents and in turn, the accused produced the documents. Thereafter, all these documents referred to revenue authorities for verification with the revenue records and after obtaining report from the revenue authorities, cases would be finalized. He further submits that expeditiously the investigation would be completed and appropriate final report would be filed. Having regard to the mandate of Cr.P.C., it is expect that respondent Police to complete investigation and file final report expeditiously, preferably within a period of two months from the date of receipt of copy of this order.

Writ Petition is accordingly disposed of. Pending miscellaneous petitions shall stand dismissed.
