HON'BLE THE ACTING CHIEF JUSTICE DILIP B. BHOSALE AND THE HON'BLE SRI JUSTICE A.V.SESHA SAI WRIT APPEAL No.548 of 2016 PC: (per the Hon'ble the Acting Chief Justice Dilip B. Bhosale) This appeal is directed against the order, dated 18.04.2016, passed in W.P.No.30415 of 2014 whereby, the appellant prayed for writ of mandamus declaring inaction of the second respondent in mutating his name in the revenue records in respect of the subject land as illegal, unjust and unconstitutional. Learned Judge, in the facts of the present case, has dismissed the writ petition holding that the second respondent has no jurisdiction to entertain the application made by the appellant. While dismissing the petition, learned Judge kept open to the appellant to take appropriate remedy. The appellant made an application for the first time on 16.10.
2014 for mutating his name in the revenue records. According to him, the subject land belongs to his ancestors. His father died on 23.12.2000. He approached the concerned authority with the application after more than 14 years. On these facts and in the circumstances, learned Judge dismissed the writ petition holding that the appellant's application to respondent No.2 is not maintainable. We do not find any reason to interfere with the same. Writ appeal is dismissed.
Consequently, miscellaneous petitions, if any, also stand disposed of.
