The grievance of the petitioner is that the Tahsildar, Thimmajipet Mandal, Nagarkurnool District, is not issuing him an E Patta passbook in relation to the land admeasuring Ac.2-00 guntas in Sy.No.390/A3 of Marikal Village, Thimmajipet Mandal, Nagarkurnool District.

Perusal of the record reflects that the petitioner has already been issued a regular pattadar passbook and title deed in relation to the subject land under the provisions of the Telangana Rights in Land and Pattadar Pass Books Act, 1971 (for brevity 'the Act of 1971'). However, the petitioner seems to have again submitted an application in Form VI-A under the Act of 1971. This form would be submitted for issuance of a regular passbook / title deed. If the petitioner seeks issuance of an E Patta Passbook, he merely has to make a written representation duly enclosing photo copies of the pattadar passbook and title deed already issued to him. The petitioner therefore did not follow the due procedure.

The writ petition is accordingly disposed of permitting the petitioner to submit a written representation along with copies of his pattadar passbook and title deed seeking issuance of an E Patta passbook in relation to the lands covered thereby. In the event such an application is received, the Tahsildar, Thimmajipet Mandal, Nagarkurnool District, shall take appropriate action thereon expeditiously and in any event, not later than four weeks from the date of receipt of such application.

Pending Miscellaneous Petitions, if any, shall stand closed. No order as to costs.
