ORDER

This writ petition is filed seeking the following relief: "... to issue an order, direction or writ particularly one in the nature of Writ of Mandamus or any other appropriate writ, order or direction (I) declaring the action of the respondents in altering the service condition of the petitioners in the category of Man Mazdoors in pursuance of the recommendations of the Industrial Engineering Corporation as illegal (ii) consequently direct the respondents to continue the petitioners in service (iii) to direct the respondents to regularize the services of the petitioners from the date of their initial appointment with all consequential benefits and pass such further order or orders in the circumstances of the case."

Heard Sri D.Linga Rao, learned counsel appearing for the petitioners and learned Standing Counsel appearing for the respondent-Corporation.

Learned counsel appearing for the petitioners submits that since the petitioners have been continuously working from the date of their appointment i.e., 1986, 1987, 1990, & 1992 respectively, without any interruption, they are seeking regularization of their services.

Learned Standing Counsel appearing for the respondent-Corporation contends that proposals have been submitted by the respondent-Corporation to the Government

to regularize the services of the similarly situated persons in terms of G.O.Ms.212, dated 22.4.1994.

Having considered the rival submissions made by the learned counsel on either side, this Court is of the view that ends of justice would be met if a direction is issued to the petitioners to submit a representation to the respondentCorporation seeking regularization of their services. Accordingly, the Writ Petition is disposed of directing the petitioners to submit a representation to the respondentCorporation seeking regularization of their services within a period of one week from the date of receipt of a copy of the order and on receipt of such representation, the respondentCorporation shall consider the same and pass appropriate orders within a period of four weeks thereafter. No costs. Miscellaneous petitions, if any, pending shall stand closed.
