THE HONOURABLE SRI JUSTICE P. KESHAVA RAO WRIT PETITION No.3567 of 2020 ORDER:

Heard learned counsel for the petitioners as well as learned Government Pleader appearing for the respondents. 2.

The prayer sought in the writ petition is as under: "...to issue an appropriate Writ, Order or Direction, more particularly one in the nature of Writ of Mandamus, declaring the inaction of the respondents in taking action with regard to the illegal interference and disturbing the occasion of Mahashivatri and trying to dislocate the Hundi from Sri Mallikarjna Swamy Temple, Sirichelama village, Echoda Mandal, Adilabad District, in spite of the written representation dt.10-2-2019, as being illegal, arbitrary and unjust and consequently direct the respondents to take immediate action and to ensure that no disturbance is caused at Sri Mallikarjuna Swamy Temple, during Mahashivaratri festival, and to grant such other relief or reliefs as this Hon'ble Court deems fit and proper in the circumstances of the case." 3.

Having heard both the counsel and from a perusal of the material on record, this Court is of the opinion that a direction to the 3rd respondent to give protection, would meet the ends of justice. 4.

Accordingly, the writ petition is disposed of directing the 3rd respondent to provide protection to the petitioners on the occasion of Mahashivaratri at Sri Mallikarjuna Swamy Temple, Sirichelama Village, Echoda Mandal of Adilabad District, enabling the petitioners to perform the rituals, without any interference and disturbance from third parties, forthwith. No order as to costs. Pending miscellaneous petitions, if any, shall stand closed. ___________________ P. KESHAVA RAO, J 20th February 2020 Note:
