No.30786 of 2016 Dt: 18.10.2016 Order : (Per Hon'ble Sri Justice C.V.Nagarjuna Reddy) This Writ Petition is filed for the following substantive relief: "to issue an order, writ or direction, more particularly one in the nature of Writ of Habeas Corpus, declaring the action of the respondents police in not producing the petitioner son namely Kattepogula Veeraiah, aged about 28 years who is in illegal custody of the 5th respondent from 31.08.2016 before the concerned courts as being illegal and arbitrary, apart from being violative of Articles 19 (1) (d), 21 and 22 of the Constitution of India and consequently direct the respondents police to produce the petitioner son namely Kattepogula Veeraiah, aged about 28 years before this Hon'ble High Court."

At the hearing, Mr.Deepak Misra, learned Counsel for the petitioner, submitted that after filing of the Writ Petition, the detenu was produced before the Jurisdictional Magistrate and remanded to judicial custody and that therefore, the cause in the Writ Petition does not survive for adjudication.

The above submission of the learned Counsel for the petitioner is placed on record and the Writ Petition is, accordingly, disposed of as infructuous.
