THE HON'BLE SRI JUSTICE CHALLA KODANDA RAM WRIT PETITION No.3091 of 2018 ORDER:

Petitioners claim that their land has been acquired by Singareni Collieries Company Limited for the purpose of Manuguru Opencast Project. They filed this Writ Petition on mere apprehension that the objections filed by them on 28.12.2017 and 29.12.2017 would not be considered by respondent No.4 - Land Acquisition Officer, Singareni Collieries Company Limited, Manuguru.

Inasmuch as there is a duty cast on respondent No.4 to consider the objections said to have been filed by the petitioners pursuant to the notice issued under Section 21 of the Right to Fair Compensation and Transparency in Land Acquisition, Rehabilitation and Resettlement Act, 2013, the Writ Petition is allowed with the direction to respondent No.4 to consider the objections of the petitioners and pass an Award in accordance with law.
