folder subject to correction s if any This application is filed by the petitioner-accused No.2 to enlarge him on bail by suspending the sentence of imprisonment imposed vide judgment dated 07.02.2024 in Crl.A.No.175 of 2019 by the Principal Sessions Judge, Suryapet in so far as convicting the petitioner under Section 324 of IPC, pending disposal of the Criminal Revision.
Heard the learned counsel for the petitioner. Learned counsel for the petitioner submitted that the petitioner was found guilty for the offences punishable under Sections 324 and 504 IPC and was sentenced to undergo rigorous imprisonment for a period of six months for the offence under Section 324 IPC and to pay fine of Rs.1,000/- for the offence under Section 504 of IPC, in default to undergo simple imprisonment for seven days and the first appellate court acquitted the petitioner for the offence under Section 504 IPC but confirmed the conviction and the sentence imposed by the trial court for the offence under Section 324 IPC and prayed to enlarge the petitioner on bail by suspending the sentence of imprisonment.
Heard learned Additional Public Prosecutor for the respondent-State.
