THE HON'BLE SRI JUSTICE S.V.BHATT WRIT PETITION No.34041 of 2012 ORDER:

Heard learned counsel for parties.

Sri Challa Gunaranjan for petitioners submits that one of the writ prayers namely the applicability of the Building and Other Construction Workers (Regulation of Employment and Conditions of Service) Act, 1996, is covered against the petitioners by the decision of Apex Court reported in LANCO ANPARA POWER LIMITED V. STATE OF UTTAR PRADESH AND OTHERS1. On the other aspect of the prayer, he submits that liberty may be given to petitioners to respond to the details demanded in the notice and thereafter, the respondents are under obligation to follow the procedure stipulated by the aforesaid Act and prays to dispose of the writ petition by granting the liberty to submit details to respondents.

By placing the above statement on record, the writ petition is disposed of accordingly. The petitioners are given liberty to furnish information as demanded in the notice and thereafter, the respondents to proceed and pass orders in accordance with law. Miscellaneous petitions, if any, pending, shall stand closed. No order as to costs.
