THE HON'BLE SRI JUSTICE C. PRAVEEN KUMAR CRIMINAL PETITION No.2894 of 2016 ORDER:
The petitioner, who is A1, filed the present application under Section 438 of the Code of the Criminal Procedure (Cr.P.C.), seeking release in the event of his arrest in connection with Crime No.30 of 2016 of Women Police Station, Begumpet, Hyderabad District, registered for the offences punishable under Section 498 A, 506 of IPC and Sections 3 and 4 of Dowry Prohibition Act.
Learned counsel for the petitioner mainly submits that the petitioner lodged a report before the Human Rights Commission stating that the passport of the petitioner was seized by the police and as such seeks a direction for release of the same. A complaint came to be submitted on 29.02.2016 stating that on the basis of the report given by the informant, police seized nine documents along with passports of petitioner's wife and children.
Having regard to the manner in which the present crime came to be registered, the petitioner is directed to surrender before the concerned Court and move an application for bail, after giving prior notice to the learned Public Prosecutor, in which event, the same shall be considered on the same day, on such terms and conditions as the said Court deems fit and proper.
