HON'BLE SRI JUSTICE ABHINAND KUMAR SHAVILI W.P. No. 19061 of 2009 O R D E R:- Heard Sri A. Rama Rao, learned Standing Counsel for Andhra Pradesh State Road Transport Corporation appearing on behalf of the petitioner and Sri G. Ravi Mohan, learned counsel for the 1st respondent - workman and perused the material placed on record.
It is noticed from the record that the 1st respondent retired from service on attaining the age of superannuation. Even on merits, when the Labour Court passes an order exercising its power under Section 11-A of the Industrial Disputes Act, 1947, unless and until any grave irregularity or illegality has been pointed out therein, this Court cannot interfere with the award. Inasmuch as no illegality or irregularity has been pointed out in the impugned Award passed by the Labour Court, this Court cannot interfere with the same.
Hence, the writ petition is devoid of any merit and the same is accordingly dismissed. No order as to costs. As a sequel, Miscellaneous Petitions, if any pending, shall stand disposed of as infructuous.
