THE HON'BLE SRI JUSTICE SANJAY KUMAR CONTEMPT CASE NO.1239 OF 2016

O R D E R

This contempt case was instituted alleging willful disobedience to the order dated 20.04.2016 passed by this Court in W.P.No.13031 of 2016. By the said order, this Court directed the police authorities to take suitable action on the petitioner's complaint dated 07.03.2016 in terms of the directions of the Supreme Court in LALITA KUMARI V/s. GOVERNMENT OF UTTAR PRADESH[1].

The Sub-Inspector of Police, Annavaram Police Station, East Godavari District, filed a counter-affidavit stating that upon the petitioner's complaint dated 07.03.2016, Crime No.87 of 2016 was registered on the file of Annavaram Police Station, East Godavari District, under Sections 447 and 427 IPC read with Section 34 IPC.

In the light of the aforestated developments, this Court finds no disobedience, much less willful disobedience, to its order warranting exercise of contempt jurisdiction.
