Petitioners are presently working as Assistant Agricultural Extension Officers, Grade -II. They claim that they are eligible and qualified to be promoted as Agricultural Extension Officers, GradeI. Even though there are vacancies available, they are eligible and seniors, the benefit is not extended to them, causing hardship to the petitioners.

Ventilating their grievance, on 02.01.2017, representations were made by the petitioners to the District Agricultural Officer. But so far no orders are passed and their claim is not considered. 4.

Since the grievance is already ventilated by the petitioners before the competent authority, this Court is not inclined to entertain the writ petition and keep the writ petition pending. 5.

Accordingly, the Writ Petition is disposed of, directing the District Agriculture Officer (1st respondent), to consider the claim made by the petitioners in their representations dated 02.01.2017 and pass orders as warranted by law, regarding their entitlement for promotion and granting of the same. Such decision to be taken and communicated to the petitioners within a period of two (2) months from the date of receipt of copy of this order. There shall be no order as to costs.

Miscellaneous petitions, if any, pending in this writ petition shall stand closed.
