This petition is filed seeking for grant of anticipatory bail to the petitioner, who is the accused, in Crime No.479 of 2017 on the file of the Station House Officer, Satyanarayanapuram Police Station, Vijayawada, Krishna District. The offences alleged are under Sections 8(c) r/ w 20(b)(ii) & (c) of NDPS Act. 2.

Heard the counsel for the petitioner and the Public Prosecutor appearing for the respondent.

As per the case of the prosecution, the commercial quantity of contraband was being transported in the auto. The confession of the petitioner shows that, not being satisfied with the income that has been deriving as auto driver, he started doing business in Narcotic Drugs.

Hence, considering the above and by virtue of the guidelines enunciated under Section 37 of the NDPS Act, the petitioner is not entitled for anticipatory bail. 5.

Accordingly, the criminal petition is dismissed. As a sequel, the miscellaneous applications, if any pending, shall stand closed.
