THE HON'BLE SRI JUSTICE SANJAY KUMAR WRIT PETITION No.12742 of 2012 ORDER:

The grievance of the petitioners in this case was that the Sub-Inspector of Police, Atmakur Police Station, Mahabubnagar District was calling them to the Police Station and detaining them for hours together so as to pressurise them to settle their disputes with the third respondent herein.

Learned Assistant Government Pleader for Home states on instructions that no complaint was received against the petitioners and no case was registered on the file of Atmakur Police Station against the petitioners. Sri K. Venkatesh Gupta, learned counsel for the petitioners, would submit that as the Sub-Inspector of Police who was holding office at that point of time was transferred thereafter, the cause does not survive. The writ petition is accordingly closed.

Pending miscellaneous petitions shall also stand closed. No order as to costs.
