Heard learned counsel for the petitioners and Sri K.Ramakanth Reddy, learned Standing Counsel appearing for respondent No.1.

When the matter is taken up, Sri K.Ramakanth Reddy, learned Standing Counsel for A.I.C.T.E., has placed on record letter bearing F.No.11-17/Legal/AICTE/2018, dated 01.03.2018, which shows that the present issue was referred to the Approval Bureau for comments. A copy of the comments is enclosed in the said letter. The said comments enclosed show that as per Clause 1.8.1(e) of APH-2018-19, conversion of a course from Degree to Diploma and vice versa is allowed only for regular/first shift course.

In view of the same, there shall be a direction to the respondents to consider the issue in the present writ petition in accordance with the said clause.

The Writ Petition is, accordingly, disposed of. There shall be no order as to costs.

Miscellaneous Petitions pending, if any, in this Writ Petition shall stand closed.
