CVNR, J CC 568/2017 ORDER:

This contempt case is filed alleging non-compliance of order dt.19.8.2008 in W.P. No.22946 of 2002.

Respondent No.1 - Managing Director of the Singareni Collieries Company Limited, Kothagudem, filed a counter affidavit, wherein it is inter alia stated that in terms of G.O. Ms. No.1307, dt.23.12.1993, a sum of Rs.2,86,207/- was paid to the pattadars, that with the dismissal of the SLP filed by the State against the judgment in Land Acquisition Officer-cumRevenue Divisional Officer, Chevella Division v. Mekala Pandu1, a sum of Rs.24,05,178/- towards differential compensation payable as per the order in the writ petition was arrived at and that the same was deposited vide cheque No.472450, dt.19.06.2017 before the Revenue Divisional Officer, Bhadrachalam, who is the disbursing officer.

With the deposit of the purported differential compensation, the grievance with which the contempt case is filed by the petitioners stood redressed. Hence, the contempt case is closed, with liberty to the petitioners to approach the Revenue Divisional Officer for receiving the differential compensation amount.
