THE HON'BLE SRI JUSTICE NOOTY RAMAMOHANA RAO WRIT PETITION No. 13118 OF 2015 O R D E R:

The petitioner, who was employed as a Manager with the respondent Vijaya Bank, has been proceeded against by the said bank, as a measure of discipline, resulting in imposition of the punishment of dismissal from service of the bank, by an order passed on 28.10.2014 by the disciplinary authority.

The petitioner appears to have preferred an Appeal to the Chairman and Managing Director of the bank, who is the Appellate Authority on 30.11.2014. Setting out that the said Appeal is still pending and has not been disposed of so far, the present Writ Petition is filed.

If the Appeal of the petitioner dated 30.11.2014 is still pending with the Chairman and Managing Director of the bank, who is the Appellate Authority, it is only appropriate that the same shall be dealt with as expeditiously as is possible, preferably within a period of two months from the date of receipt of a copy of this order, inasmuch as nearly five months' period has already elapsed from the date the Appeal has been preferred by the petitioner.

Accordingly, the Writ Petition stands disposed of at the admission stage. No costs.

Consequently, the miscellaneous applications, if any shall also stand disposed of.
