When the matter is taken up for hearing today, it is noticed that the petitioner is challenging the transfer policy formulated way back in 2005 and no interim orders were granted in the writ petition. The transfer policy changes from time to time and the transfer policy in question is not in existence. In view of the same, the cause in the writ petition does not survive. Hence, the writ petition is dismissed. Consequently, miscellaneous petitions, if any, pending in the writ petition shall stand closed.
