ORDER

This writ petition is filed seeking a direction to the 4th respondent to exchange Rs.64,000/- and to declare the places of exchange mentioned in the Circular dated 31.12.2016, as arbitrary and illegal.

Learned counsel appearing for respondents 2 to 4, by placing reliance on the judgment of the Apex Court in Vivek Narayan Sharma vs. Union of India1, submits that as the matter relates to demonetisation, the present writ petition is not maintainable before this Court.

In view of the same, the Writ Petition is dismissed reserving liberty to the petitioner to take appropriate legal proceedings in accordance with law. No costs.

Miscellaneous petitions, if any, pending in this writ petition shall stand closed.
