HON'BLE SRI JUSTICE CHALLA KODANDA RAM WRIT PETITION No.7752 OF 2016 ORDER:

This writ petition is filed questioning the action of the respondentauthorities in not receiving the application submitted by the petitioner for grant of fresh electricity connection on the ground that the previous owner has failed to pay the electricity consumption charges. Considering the law laid down by the Supreme Court in the case of Isha Marbles vs. Bihar State Electricity Board and another1 this Court passed an interim order dated 10.03.2016 in W.P.M.P.No.9862 of 2016 in W.P.No.7752 of 2016, directing the respondent-authorities to receive and process the application of the petitioner for grant of a fresh electricity connection.

Now it is represented by the learned counsel for the petitioner pursuant to the interim order dated 10.03.2016 passed by this Court, the respondent-authorities received the application and processed the same and as a matter of fact, the power connection was also given to the petitioner. In that view of the matter, the relief which the petitioner sought in the main writ petition substantially stands granted and accordingly the writ petition is required to be closed. Accordingly, the writ petition is closed. No order as to costs. Miscellaneous Petitions, if any pending in this writ petition shall stand closed.
