ORDER:

The petitioner is an employee of Tirumala Tirupati Devasthanams. The petitioner is aggrieved by an order passed by the disciplinary authority, dated 11.06.2014, treating the period from 12.04.2010 to 03.06.2010 as Dies-non. The appeal preferred by the petitioner on 23.07.2014 is pending disposal by the Tirumala Tirupati Devasthanams Board. Contending that the appeal is pending for a long time and so far, no orders are passed, this writ petition is filed.

2. Learned Standing Counsel representing the Tirumala Tirupati Devasthanams do not dispute the fact that the appeal is pending. He submits that several appeals are pending in similar manner and as there is a paucity of time, the appeals could not be disposed of. Admittedly, the petitioner filed an appeal on 23.07.2014 and the same is yet to be disposed of.

3. Therefore, without expressing any opinion on merits, the Writ Petition is disposed of directing the Tirumala Tirupati Devasthanams Board to consider the appeal filed by the petitioner on 23.07.2014 and pass appropriate orders, as warranted by law, within a period of eight (8) weeks from the date of receipt of copy of this order.
