When the matter is taken up for hearing, the learned counsel for the petitioner has stated that pursuant to the interim direction of this Court dated 21.10.2013, the case of the petitioner was considered, he was promoted and also retired from service. Therefore, the cause in the present writ petition does not survive for adjudication.

In view of the above made submission, the Writ Petition is dismissed as infructuous.
