Vinjamuri Venkateshwarlu v. State Of A.P,
HON'BLE SRI JUSTICE M.S.RAMACHANDRA RAO W.P.No.27866 of 2014 ORDER:
Heard the learned counsel for the petitioners and the learned Government Pleader for Revenue appearing for respondents.
2.
Petitioners have filed this Writ Petition seeking completion of enquiry under Section 3 of the AP (Andhra Area) Inams (Abolition and Conversion into Ryotwari) Act, 1956 pending before 3rd respondent in File No.Roc.841/2012 B.
The petitioners claim to be interested in an extent of Ac.3.99 cts in Sy. No.18/2 of Pentapadu village, Pentapadu Mandal, West Godavari District.
3.
It is indeed tragic that even though the Act had been enacted in 1956 and almost 60 years have elapsed since then, proceedings under this enactment, which ought to have been completed expeditiously, have not been concluded even today.
4.
Learned Government Pleader for Revenue appearing for respondents states that 4th respondent will complete the enquiry and take further steps in the matter including publication of notification in the District Gazette as required under Section 3 (6) of the said Act within a period of four months from the date of receipt of a copy of
this order.
5.
Recording the above submission, the Writ petition is disposed of directing 4th respondent to complete the enquiry and take further steps in the matter including publication of notification in the District Gazette as required under Section 3 (6) of the said Act within a period of four months from the date of receipt of a copy of this order and communicate his decision thereon to the petitioners. No costs.
6.
As a sequel, the miscellaneous petitions, if any pending, shall stand closed.
