ORDER :

The petitioner is a field Assistant of Hussainpuram Gram Panchayat. On the allegation of misuse of official position and mis-appropriation, disciplinary action was taken which resulted in imposing the punishment of removal from service by proceedings dated 01.12.2014 of the Project Director-cum-Additional District Programme Coordinator of MGNREGS, Srikakulam District (4th respondent). Aggrieved by the order of removal, petitioner claims to have preferred an appeal before the District Collector-cum-District Programme Coordinator of MGNREGS, Srikakulam District (3rd respondent), which is acknowledged by the office of District Collector on 27.04.2015. Alleging that the said appeal is not disposed of, so far, this writ petition is filed.

2. Since the petitioner has availed the remedy of appeal and the same is pending, without expressing any opinion on merits, the writ petition is disposed of directing the 3rd respondent to dispose of the appeal filed by the petitioner within a period of six (6) weeks from the date of receipt of copy of this order. There shall be no order as to costs.
