THE HON'BLE SRI JUSTICE C. PRAVEEN KUMAR WRIT PETITION No.23659 of 2017 ORDER:

Today, at the time when the matter is taken up for hearing, learned counsel for the petitioner would submit that the petitioner who was illegally detained by the respondents-police, was released yesterday. Further, he pleads that since the petitioner has been released, he may be permitted to withdraw the present writ petition with a liberty to avail the remedies available under law for claiming compensation.

Learned Government Pleader, while disputing the submissions made by the learned counsel for the petitioner, contends that pursuant to P.T.Warrant, the petitioner has been detained and hence it cannot be said that he was in illegal detention.

Be that as it may, in view of the representation made by the petitioner, the present writ petition is dismissed as withdrawn, by granting liberty, as prayed for. No costs.

As a sequel thereto, Miscellaneous Petitions, if any, pending in this Writ Petition, shall stand dismissed.
