Nagarjuna Reddy) This Writ Petition is filed for issue of Habeas Corpus, directing the police officials to produce Sobia Zainab (for short, 'the alleged detenu'), aged about 20 years, whom the petitioner allegedly married, from the custody of respondent No.7.

Today, the Assistant Sub-Inspector of Police has produced the alleged detenu. We interacted with the alleged detenu who informed us that though she has signed certain papers without knowing that it related to her marriage with the petitioner, she is not willing to live with the latter, and that she is voluntarily staying with her parents. 3.

In the light of the above, we are of the opinion that the alleged detenu, being a major, is entitled to act according to her wish and that she is, on her own accord, living with her parents. 4.
