"This Criminal Petition is filed by the petitioners/Accused seeking reduction of the surety amount imposed in the order dated 20.01.2025 passed in Crime No.665 of 2023 in C.C. No.1133 of 2024, from Rs.10,000/- each with two sureties to Rs.5,000/- each with one surety.

Heard Smt. Dr. M. Madhavi Latha, learned counsel appearing for the petitioners.

Learned counsel for the petitioners submitted that the petitioners are undergoing severe financial hardship and that substantial amounts are stuck in the market due to irregular clients and that the petitioners have no proper source of income to comply with the condition of furnishing two sureties of Rs.10,000/- each. Therefore, he prayed that the surety amount be reduced to Rs.5,000/- each with one surety. 4.

Considering the submissions made by the learned counsel for the petitioners and upon perusal of the material available on record, this Court is of the view that the condition imposed by the trial Court by order dated 20.01.2025 deserves to be modified. Accordingly, the condition is relaxed, and the petitioners are directed to execute a personal bond for Rs.5,000/- (Rupees Five Thousand only) each with two sureties for a like sum each, to the satisfaction of the concerned Court.

With the above modification, the Criminal Petition is disposed of.

Miscellaneous applications, if any pending, shall stand closed.
