In this writ petition, the petitioner assails the inaction on the part of respondents 3 and 4 in considering the application of the petitioner for mutation of his name in the revenue records and issuing pattadar pass books and title deed in his favour as being illegal, arbitrary and for appropriate consequently orders.

2. The case of the petitioner is that land in an extent of Ac.153 cents in Sy.No.368/2 and Ac.1-72 cents in Sy.No.368/4 of Chadalla village, Punganur Mandal, Chittoor district, originally was ancestral property and the subject land fell to the share of his father late Thota Narayanappa at the time of partition of the joint family property amongst the brothers of his father. That in the year 2014, petitioner's father expired and the petitioner being the only legal heir succeeded to the subject land.

The grievance of the petitioner is that application was made on 25-04-2016 to the 3rd respondent for mutation of his name in the revenue records in respect of the subject land and for issuance of pattadar pass book and title deed, but till today the respondents have not moved in matter nor passed any orders thereon. Hence, this writ petition.

4. Heard the learned counsel for the petitioner and the learned Assistant Government Pleader for Revenue.

5. Learned Assistant Government Pleader for Revenue submits that the petitioner has not made application in the required format and, therefore, his request could not be considered.

6. In the circumstances, it is open for the petitioner to make application in proper format as required in terms of the rules framed under AP Rights in Land and Pattadar Pass Books Act, 1971, for mutation of his name in the revenue records, within two weeks from the date of receipt of a copy of this order, and on such application, in the required format under the rules, being filed by the petitioner, the 4th respondent is directed to consider the same and pass appropriate orders thereon, in accordance with law, within a period of six weeks thereafter.
