Heard learned counsel for petitioners and learned Standing counsel for Telangana State Public Service Commission (TSPSC).

In pursuant to the recruitment notification No.29/2017 dated 02.06.2017, issued by the Telangana State Public Service Commission, to the post of Principal, petitioners responded and participated in the selections and according to petitioners, they have passed in the written examination and awaiting publication of list of candidates to be called for interview in the ratio of 1:2. This writ petition is filed apprehending that petitioners are not likely to be called for further selection process by not counting experience rendered by them in the College of Education. 3.

Learned counsel for petitioners point out the precedents of selections made earlier wherein the experience gained in the College of Education was not considered.

As can be seen from the prayer sought in the writ petition, as well as pleadings and submissions made by learned counsel for the petitioners, as of now, selections are not finalized, call letters are not issued for conducting interviews and so far candidature of petitioners is not rejected in the further selection process, assuming that petitioners have secured merit.

Therefore, as of now, it is pre-mature for the petitioners to contend that they would not be considered. The same relief can be sought as and when shortlisting is undertaken by the TSPSC

- 3 - and process of conducting interview is taken up ignoring petitioners' claim though they are qualified. It cannot also be said that selection process would be completed giving no time for petitioners to agitate/ventilate their grievance. 5.

However, having regard to the apprehension expressed by petitioners and having regard that petitioners have already submitted representations, it cannot be said that the TSPSC would be ignoring the eligibility of petitioners, while shorlisting the candidates to subject them to interview process, if they have secured sufficient merit and coming within the zone of selection in the ratio of 1:2.

With the above observations, the Writ Petition is dismissed. Pending miscellaneous petitions, if any, shall stand closed.
