HON'BLE THE ACTING CHIEF JUSTICE RAMESH RANGANATHAN WRIT PETITION NO.2900 OF 2009 ORDER:

The relief sought for in this Writ Petition is to direct respondents 1 and 2 to continue the petitioner as Chairman of Agricultural Market Committee Vijayawada as ordered in G.O.Rt. No.1647 dated 30.12.2008 by declaring G.O.Rt. No.176 dated 05.02.2009, whereby the 3rd respondent was appointed as person-in-charge superseding G.O.Rt. No.1647 dated 30.12.2008, as arbitrary and illegal. By G.O.Rt. No.1647 dated 30.12.2008 the term of office of the Chairman of the Agricultural Market Committee Vijayawada was extended for a further period of six months with effect from 19.11.2008. The six months period stipulated in G.O.Rt. No.1647 dated 30.12.2008 expired by 19.05.2009 i.e., more than eight years earlier. It is evident therefore that the cause in the Writ Petition does not survive necessitating any further adjudication by this Court. The Writ Petition has become infructuous and is, accordingly, dismissed. The miscellaneous petitions pending, if any, shall stand closed. No costs. ________________________________ RAMESH RANGANATHAN, ACJ Date: 02.06.2017 MRKR
