The petitioners have made applications on 17-02-2011 for conversion and complaining that no orders are passed by the 2nd respondent on the said applications, in spite of payment of requisite fee, the present writ petition is filed.
Heard the learned Government Pleader for Revenue. Since the 2nd respondent is required to act within the time prescribed under the provisions of the A.P.Agricultural Land (Conversion for Non-Agricultural Purposes) Act, 2006, the 2nd respondent is directed to consider the aforesaid applications of the petitioners and pass appropriate orders expeditiously preferably within four weeks from the date of receipt of a copy of this order. Accordingly, the writ petitions are disposed of. No costs Miscellaneous petitions, if any, pending in these writ petitions shall stand closed.
