THE HON'BLE SRI JUSTICE VILAS V.AFZULPURKAR WRIT PETITION Nos.29883 & 29884 of 2015 COMMON ORDER:

Heard the learned counsel for the petitioners and the learned Government Pleader for Revenue (Andhra Pradesh) appearing for the respondents.

2. In both these writ petitions, the grievance of the petitioners is similar i.e., in spite of making appropriate applications in Form 6(A) under Rule 18 of the Andhra Pradesh Rights in Land and Pattadar Pass Books Rules, 1989 (for short, "the Rules") read with Section 4(1) of the A.P. Rights in Land and Pattadar Pass Books Act, 1971 (for short, "the Act"), respondent No.3 - Tahsildar is not considering their applications for grant of pattadar passbooks and title deeds to their respective lands.

3. In W.P.No.29883 of 2015, the petitioners state that they have applied in the prescribed proforma in accordance with the Rules on 25.4.2015 and in W.P.No.29884 of 2015, it is claimed that similar application was made on 17.9.2014.

4. In view of the time limit prescribed under the Act and under Rule 6 of the Rules, I deem it appropriate to dispose of these writ petitions directing respondent No.3 - Tahsildar in their respective writ petitions to consider the said applications of the petitioners in accordance with law and pass appropriate orders within a period of six (6) weeks from the date of receipt of a copy of this order.

5. Accordingly, the Writ Petitions are disposed of. There shall be no order as to costs. Miscellaneous Petitions, if any, pending in these Writ Petitions shall stand closed.
