.. Respondents This court made the following :
- 2 - THE HONOURABLE SRI JUSTICE P.NAVEEN RAO WRIT PETITION No.4281 OF 2019 ORDER :
Heard learned counsel for the petitioner and learned Government Pleader for Home for respondents 1 to 6. 2.
This writ petition is filed alleging that a crime was reported on 13.07.2018, which includes violation of provisions of Scheduled Caste and Scheduled Tribe (Prevention of Atrocities) Act, 1989 (for short 'the Act'). Alleging deliberate inaction in registering the crime, this Writ Petition is filed. 3.
Learned Government Pleader produced copy of FIR No.115 of 2019 dated 21.03.2019 of Godavarikhani I-Town Police Station registering the crime under Section 294-B of Indian Penal Code and under Sections 3 (1) (r) & 3 (1) (s) of the Act. 4.
Since the crime is already registered, the cause in the writ petition does not survive. However, it is noticed from the copy of FIR that crime was registered on 21.03.2019 on a complaint lodged on 13.07.2018. Therefore, the concerned investigating Officer has to explain the reasons for delay in registering the crime to the satisfaction of the Special Court established for trial of Offences under the Act.
5.
Subject to above observations, the Writ Petition is disposed of. Pending miscellaneous petitions, if any, shall stand closed.
