THE HONOURABLE SRI JUSTICE RAJA ELANGO CRIMINAL PETITION No.4285 OF 2016 ORDER:
This Criminal Petition is filed under Section 482 of the Code of Criminal Procedure, 1973 by the petitioner/accused seeking to quash the proceedings in S.T.C.No.183 of 2015 on the file of the Judicial Magistrate of First Class at Jadcharla, Mahabubnagar District.
2. Heard and perused the material available on record.
3. The offences alleged against the petitioner are punishable under Sections 323, 504, 506 and 509 I.P.C.
4. After arguing for some time, learned counsel for the petitioner submitted that even though the case pertains to the year 2010, till date, the complainant is not present before the Court below and the case is also not proceeding further and hence, he prays to give a direction to the Court below for expeditious disposal of the S.T.C.
5. Considering the facts and circumstances of the case, the trial Court is directed to dispose of S.T.C.No.183 of 2015 pending on its file as expeditiously as possible, preferably, within a period of six (6) months from the date of receipt of a copy of this order.
6. With the above direction, the Criminal Petition is disposed of. Miscellaneous petitions pending, if any, in this Criminal Petition shall stand closed.
