THE HON'BLE SRI JUSTICE P. NAVEEN RAO WRIT PETITION No.8487 OF 2017 ORDER:

The grievance of the petitioner is that his pay on appointment as Work Inspector (Electrical/Civil) is erroneously fixed at the lowest scale, though he is entitled to higher pay scale and fixation of pay accordingly.

When the matter is taken up for consideration, learned counsel for the petitioner and learned Standing Counsel for the respondent - University submit that since representation, dated 18.01.2013, is already submitted by the petitioner and the same is pending consideration, it would suffice if a direction is issued to the Registrar of the respondent - University to pass orders on the said representation within a time frame.

Having regard to the said submission and without expressing any opinion on the merits of the case, the Writ Petition is disposed of directing the Registrar of the respondent - University to examine the claim of the petitioner as set out in his representation, dated 18.01.2013, and pass appropriate orders as warranted by law by assigning due reasons in support of the decision, within a period of six weeks from the date of receipt of a copy of this order and communicate the same to the petitioner. There shall be no order as to costs.

Miscellaneous Petitions, if any, pending in this Writ Petition shall stand closed.
