HON'BLE THE ACTING CHIEF JUSTICE RAMESH RANGANATHAN WRIT PETITON No.13047 of 2011 ORDER:

The relief sought for in this Writ Petition is to declare the action of the respondents 1 to 3 in trying to destroy the petty business, and to cause loss to the petitioners who were solely dependent on the petty business, on the complaint of the 4th respondent, as arbitrary and illegal.

By an interim order, in WPMP No.15856 of 2011 dated 29.04.2011, this Court directed the 1st respondent-GHMC not to resort to demolition or dispossession of the petitioners from the subject premises without following the due process of law. Sri V. Sreenivasa Rao, Learned Counsel for the 4th respondent, on instructions states that all the subject six shops, which were adjacent to the foot paths, have already been demolished; a road has been laid in the area; and, therefore, the cause in the Writ Petition does not survive. Recording the submission of the Learned Counsel and, in as much as it is evident that the cause in the Writ Petition does not survive, the Writ Petition is dismissed as infructuous.
