CRIMINAL PETITION NO. 15166 OF 2016 O R D E R :

This Criminal Petition is filed by the petitioners/A-1 and A-2 on bail in the event of their arrest in Crime No. 231 of 2016 of Adilabad I-Town Police Station, Adilabad district, registered for the offences punishable under section 420 of IPC.

2. As per the complaint, the petitioners/A1 and A2 have taken net cash of Rs.50,000/- and original passport from the defacto complainant on the pretext that they send him to Saudi Arabia. However, the petitioners/A1 and A2 neither send him to Saudi Arabia nor returned the original passport to him nor repaid the said amount till date.

3. Vide order dated 01/11/2016, this Court directed the Superintendent of Police, Adilabad, to file an affidavit stating as to whether any complaint has been received against these petitioners regarding cheating of innocent persons by taking money from them

on the pretext of sending them to Saudi Arabia. The said officer has filed the affidavit, which is taken on record, whereby it is stated that the petitioners have cheated innocent person and another Crime No. 130 of 2016 also registered in Adilabad Rural Police Station for the offence punishable under section 420 of IPC.

4. Keeping in view the fact that the petitioners/A1 and A2 have cheated nearly 40 to 50 innocent persons and collected huge amount from them and for unearthing the said cheating the petitioners/A1 and A2 custodial interrogation is required.

5. Thus, finding no merit in the said petition and the same is accordingly dismissed.

6. As a sequel, miscellaneous petitions if any pending in this Criminal Petition shall stand disposed of.
