This Criminal Petition is filed under Section 482 Cr.P.C. seeking to quash the order dated 09.01.2020 in Crl.M.P.No.15 of 2020 in Crl.M.P.No.563 of 2019 in Crl.M.P.No.510 of 2019 in Crl.A.No.861 of 2019 on the file of the III Additional District and Sessions Judge-cum-Additional Metropolitan Sessions Judge, Cyberabad at L.B.Nagar, Ranga Reddy District. 2.

Heard learned counsel for the petitioner/accused and the learned Additional Public Prosecutor appearing for respondent No.2State. 3.

The facts of the case shorn off unnecessary details are that respondent No.1 filed a private complaint under Section 200 Cr.P.C. against the petitioner for the offence under Section 138 of the Negotiable Instruments Act and the trial Court convicted the petitioner and sentenced him to undergo simple imprisonment for six months and directed the petitioner to pay compensation of Rs.6,50,000/- to respondent No.1 herein. Aggrieved by the said order, the petitioner preferred Criminal Appeal No.861 of 2019 and the appellate Court by interim order dated 13.11.2019 directed the petitioner to deposit 20% of the compensation amount before the trial Court within a period of one month from the date of that order. Subsequently, the petitioner filed Crl.M.P.No.15 of 2020 before the

appellate Court seeking further extension of time for deposit of 20% of the compensation amount and the said application was dismissed. Aggrieved by the said order, the present Criminal Petition is filed. 4.

Learned counsel for the petitioner submitted that the petitioner is eking out his livelihood by working as driver and with great difficulty he secured the amount and now he is ready to deposit the amount as directed by the appellate Court at any date as directed by this Court.

Having regard to the facts and circumstances of the case, without delving into the merits of the case, this Criminal Petition is disposed of extending the time granted by the appellate Court to the petitioner to deposit 20% of the compensation amount up to 10.3.2020.

6. As a sequel, the Miscellaneous Petitions pending, if any, shall stand closed.
