This Writ Petition is filed alleging that Police are interfering in civil disputes between the petitioner and 4th respondent, and insisting the petitioner to settle the matter with 4th respondent in respect of Plot No.31 in Sy.No.64/AA/1 of Dhamsalapuram village, Khammam Urban Mandal, Khammam District, and prays to direct the 3rd respondent not to interfere in civil disputes. 2.

Based on the written instructions furnished by the Inspector of Police, Khammam I Town Police Station dated 05.03.2019, learned Government Pleader would submit that 4th respondent lodged complaint on 01.03.2019 alleging cheating by the petitioner. Said complaint was registered as Crime No.57/2019 for the offence under Section 420 IPC. It appears that complainant was examined and his statement was recorded. The Investigating Officer made a requisition to the Sub-Registrar, Khammam on 02.03.2019 to furnish the particulars of the subject property. The Inspector of Police denies involvement in civil dispute and insisting the petitioner to settle the matter as alleged. Except for recording the statement of complainant and the requisition made to the SubRegistrar, Khammam to furnish information, no further steps are taken so far.

Except for the allegations that Police are interfering in civil disputes, no other material is placed on record to show that Police are involving in civil disputes. Once crime is registered, Police are competent to investigate into the crime and take appropriate course of action. Therefore, there is no merit in the contention urged. Writ Petition is accordingly dismissed.

needless to observe that petitioner shall not be called to the Police Station unless required in the process of investigation. Pending miscellaneous petitions shall stand closed.
