Ramasubramanian, J) This Contempt Case arises out of an order passed by a Division Bench of this Court directing the appellant-Management to consider the case of the respondent-workman for appointment by taking note of persons, who are allegedly similarly placed and who got an award passed by the Lok Adalat.
2. The grievance of the petitioner is that the Management rejected his claim without properly considering his case on par with similarly situated persons. But, the order shows that the Management has considered the case and passed a detailed order. The order may be right or wrong, but the correctness or otherwise of the order passed cannot be a ground to initiate contempt. Once there is an order passed in accordance with the directions issued by this Court, there cannot be any willful disobedience.
3. Hence, leaving it open to the petitioner to challenge the order in separate proceedings, the contempt case is closed. As a
sequel thereto, miscellaneous petitions, if any, pending shall stand dismissed. No order as to costs.
